Women's Basketball Routs Bucks County to Remain Undefeated in Conference

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton women's basketball team closed out the first half of their schedule with a 105-21 victory over Bucks County Community College on Saturday afternoon at the Arthur L. Scott Center.

Playing their second game without sophomore guard Lauren Thompson, the Spartans jumped out to a 52-9 halftime lead and cruised to their 10th victory of the season.

Dominique Oyeniyi scored 17 points to lead five players in double-figures and Zeniyah Sanders added 16 points and a team-high 21 rebounds to pace the Spartans.  Sanders' 21 rebounds are the second highest single game performance in Northampton history, trailing only the 26 hauled down by Sheila Dinan in 1983 and later tied by Jessica Brown in 2007.

Northampton heads to break with an overall record of 10-4 and a conference mark of 6-0.

Bucks falls to 0-12 with the loss.

The Spartans return to action on January 13th when they host EPAC foe Luzerne County Community College at 6pm.
