Spartans Top Century Mark in Rout of Lehigh Carbon

SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa. - The Northampton women's basketball team won their 7th consecutive game with an 108-33 victory over Lehigh Carbon Community College on Tuesday night at Berrier Hall, irmproving to 9-3 overall and 5-0 in Region XIX.

The Spartans placed five players in double figures, led by Nicole Amann with 15, Lauren Thompson (13), Amber Farnholtz (13), Dominique Oyeniyi (13) and Samantha Miller (11). Thompson added 6 assists, Miller had 7 rebounds and Zeniyah Sanders blocked 5 shots to lead Northampton.

"We had great balance tonight," remarked Northampton mentor Art Wolfe, "everyone got involved and it was a good team effort."

The Spartans are now off until December 11th when they travel to Kelly Arena to face NJCAA Division II Harcum College at 7pm. "That will be a good matchup for us," stated Wolfe, "Harcum plays a very competitive schedule and Coach Cruz will have them prepared."

Lehigh Carbon falls to 2-6 overall and 1-3 in Region XIX.
