CHESTER, Pa. -
Lauren Thompson scored 21 points and
Katie Schickling had 23 as the Northampton women's basketball team downed Delaware County Community College, 84-17, on Saturday afternoon at Widener College.
Schickling hit six 3-pointers, giving her 80 for the season, breaking the record of 74 set by Melanie Palko during the 2010-11 season. Schickling is now just two triples away from tying the career record for three pointers (139), held by Ashley Capozzolo (2006-08).
Brianna Morales had 12 points and
Brianna Clymer had a team-high 14 rebounds as Northampton improved to 16-5 overall (10-0 Region XIX).
Delaware falls to 1-16 on the season.
Northampton will host the Community College of Philadelphia on Thursday February 13th at 6pm.
