BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Arthur L. Scott Center will be the center of the Region XIX volleyball universe on Saturday as the top four teams in the Region will be competing for the Region XIX championship and the right to advance to the NJCAA District Championship.

Northampton, the three-time defending regional champs, are the #1 seed but will face stiff competition from #2 Ocean County College, #3 Bergen Community College and 4th seeded Montgomery County Community College.  "The level of play of the top teams in the Region has really improved," commented Head Coach Adrian Yaguez, "Ocean has done a great job with their program and Bergen and Montgomery have been solid for years ... it should be a great tournament."

Yaguez and his Spartans, who have gone 131-12 over the last five seasons, will be looking for their 4th Region XIX title and a chance to return to the national tournament.  "That is our goal," remarked Yaguez, "we obviously set our goals high ... but they are attainable and this program is at a point where Regional titles, District Championships and National Tournament appearances are what we expect.  That being said, those things don't come without hard work, dedication and solid play on the court ... we will need to come ready to play this weekend."

The Spartans will face Montgomery at 11am on Saturday, followed by Ocean and Bergen at 1pm in the other semi-final.  The semi-final winners will meet at 3pm for the Regional Championship.
