ROCHESTER, MN - On the heels of a victory today over Nassau for 7th place at the NJCAA national tournament, the Northampton volleyball team was presented the NJCAA Sportsmanship Award at the conclusion of the national tournament this evening at Rochester Technical & Community College.

"I'm really proud of this team," remarked Head Coach Adrian Yaguez, "obviously everyone's goal is to win a national championship when you get out here, but this award is very special ... it says alot about our program."

The Spartans, who were seeded 7th, finished 1-2 at the national tournament, defeating Nassau Community College, 3-0, on Saturday after dropping their two opening matches on Friday.  

Northampton finishes the 2015 campaign with an overall record of 26-8.
