BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Harrisburg Area Community College jumped out to a 45-34 lead at halftime and held off Northampton in the second half for a 83-71 victory on Tuesday night at the Arthur L. Scott Center.
Aboubacar Camara scored 20 points for the Hawks who shot 48% from the field and 76% from the foul line. "Different game, same story," lamented Head Coach
Brennan McCarthy, "21 turnovers and 16 missed free throws (20/36) ... we fought back to within 5 with 4 minutes to play, but just couldn't get that one big basket or defensive stop that we needed. I thought we played pretty well in the second half, but we dug ourselves too deep of a hole in the first half."
D'Montie Shaw (York, PA/William Penn ) led Northampton with 16 points and 9 rebounds, while
Juan Perez-Jones (Morrisville, PA /Pennsbury ),
Edwin Lopez (East Stroudsburg, PA /Stroudsburg ) and
Bryson Walton (Allentown, PA /William Allen ) each had 13.
The Spartans fall to 4-4 overall, 2-4 in Region XIX and 2-3 in conference play.

The Spartans are now off until December 1st when they travel to Schnecksville to face the Cougars of Lehigh Carbon at 8pm.
