BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Bucks County Community College shot 41% from behind the arc (9/22) to help them down Northampton 67-60 in EPAC men's basketball action on Saturday afternoon at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.
Drew Heller led the Centurions with 24 points, shooting 10 of 14 from the floor, including 4 of 5 from behind the arc. "They shoot it as well as advertised," commented Northampton Head Coach
Brennan McCarthy, "We knew what to expect and I thought we did a good job in holding them to 67 points, but offensively we really struggled to put the ball in the basket and never could make that one run to get us over the top."
Justin Kellman (Reading, PA/Reading ) had a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds as the Spartans outrebounded Bucks 50 to 31.
D'Montie Shaw (York, PA/William Penn ) added 16 points and
Ron Moore (Brodheadsville, PA /Pleasant Valley) had a season-high 15 to lead Northampton.
The loss drops Northampton to 6-7 overall, 4-7 in Region XIX and 4-5 in conference play.
Bucks improves to 9-3 overall, 7-3 in Region XIX and 5-1 in the EPAC.
The Spartans have one game remaining before they leave for semester break, hosting Brookdale at 7pm on Friday December 18th.
