Northampton Clinches 3rd Consecutive Conference Title

NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Northampton women's basketball team clinched their 3rd consecutive Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference championship with a 105-39 victory over Bucks County Community College on Saturday afternoon at Centurian Hall.

Lauren Thompson led five Spartans in double figures with 25 points, followed by Nicole Amann with 23, Samantha Miller 18, Zeniyah Sanders 16 and Amber Farnholtz with 10. Amann added 16 rebounds and Paige Priestas had a career-high 9 assists as Northampton finished undefeated in conference play for the third consecutive year.

"I was glad to see us regroup after the tough loss to Brookdale on Tuesday," stated Head Coach Art Wolfe, "I was curious how we would respond and I thought the girls did a good job putting Tuesday behind them and concentrating on today."

Northampton, now 17-7 overall, 9-2 in Region XIX and 8-0 in conference, will next travel to Sewell, NJ on Thursday February 12th to face Rowan College @ Glocuester County, with game time set for 5pm.

The loss drops Bucks County to 1-17 overall and 1-12 in Region XIX.

Northampton has two games remaining in the regular season as the battle for seeding for the upcoming Region XIX Tournament.
