Volleyball Downs Brookdale to Remain Undefeated in Region XIX

LINCROFT, NJ - Brookdale Community College put up a fight, but in the end the Northampton women's volleyball team proved to be too much for the Jersey Blues, downing them 25-20, 25-18, 25-20 on Tuesday night at Collins Arena to remain undefeated in Region XIX play.

Bridget Lozier (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley ) had 14 kills, Jax Babezki (Warrington, PA/Central Bucks South ) recorded 12 kills and Kalli Walling (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) notched 13 digs to lead Northampton. "Brookdale has a very solid team," remarked Head Coach Adrian Yaguez, "they really made us work tonight ... I'm proud of how the team responded."

Lori Deutsch (Bath, PA/Northampton ) had 9 digs, Rachael Caywood (Bath, PA/Nazareth ) 6 kills and Anona Bauman (Northampton, PA/Northampton ) had 32 assists for the Spartans.

Northampton improves to 7-3 overall and 4-0 in Region XIX.

Brookdale falls to 6-5 overall and 5-2 in Region XIX.

The Spartans host Montgomery County Community College on Thursday September 17th at 7pm.
