Women's Basketball Tops Camden 60-43, Despite Poor Shooting Night

Box Score BLACKWOOD, NJ - The Northampton women's basketball team improved to 2-0 in Region XIX with a 60-43 victory over Camden County College on Thursday evening at the Banks Center of Blackwood. The Spartans were victorious despite shooting just 23% from the field (23/98) and 42% from the line (10/24).

Dom Moser (Easton, PA/Easton ) led the Spartans with 19 points and 5 assists, Deana McKeller (East Stroudsburg, PA/E. Stroudsburg South) had a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds and Tytiona Goodwin (Allentown, PA/Dieruff ) recorded 10 steals.

"I'm happy to get out of here with a victory, but we did not play well," stated Head Coach Tara Belfield, "we struggled right from the start and never really got on track ... I think having a few days off before LCCC is exactly what we need after playing four road games in six days."

The Spartans outscored Camden 37 to 18 in the second half  after trailing at halftime 25-23.

The Spartans (3-2 overall) are now off until November 17th when they travel to Schnecksville, PA to face Lehigh Carbon Community College at 5pm.
