Box Score LANCASTER, Pa. - The Northampton men's basketball team opened their Region XIX schedule with a dominating 78-49 victory over Thaddeus Stevens College on Tuesday evening at the Dawg Pound. 

Jerrel Burke (Morrisville, PA/Pennsbury ) scored 22 points, while Juan Perez-Jones (Morrisville, PA/Pennsbury ) and Isiah Hinton-Gray (Allentown, PA/William Allen ) each added 16 points for the Spartans, who led 36-20 at halftime.  The Spartans shot 28 of 64 from the field (44%) and 15 of 22 from the line (68%).  Hinton-Gray hauled down 11 rebounds and Justin Kellman (Reading, PA /Reading ) added 8 boards for Northampton. 

The victory moves Northampton to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in Region XIX.

The loss drops Stevens to 2-3 overall and 2-1 in Region XIX.

The Spartans return to action on Thursday when they travel to Schnecksville, PA to face EPAC rival Lehigh Carbon Community College at 7pm.
