Box Score VINELAND, NJ - The Northampton women's basketball team won their third consecutive game, downing Cumberland County College, 67-44, on Tuesday evening to move to 4-0 in Region XIX.
Dom Moser (Easton, PA/Easton ) led the Spartans with 28 points and 10 rebounds, while
Katie Alvarez (Allentown, PA /Dieruff) added 10 points and 12 rebounds and
Kaitlyn Cappetta (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) recorded a team-high 4 assists.
The Spartans trailed 11-8 in the first quarter, but outscored the Dukes 25-10 the rest of the half to take a 33-21 lead into the break.
"Good road win for us against a solid opponent," stated Head Coach
Tara Belfield, "we have been road warriors with seven straight road games to start the season ... we are definitely looking forward to playing at home next week."
The Spartans, now 5-2 overall, are off until November 29th when they host Luzerne County Community College in their home opener at 6pm.
Cumberland falls to 1-4 overall and 1-3 in Region XIX.
