BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Luzerne County Community College rallied from a 25 point deficit with 13:36 remaining in the second half to stun Northampton, 85-81, on Tuesday evening before a packed house at the Arthur L. Scott Center.
The Trailblazers methodically worked their way back into the contest, taking their first lead of the game with under a minute to play led by Lenny Radziak (28 points) and Jaleel Parlin (20 points). The victory was the first for Luzerne over Northampton since joining the NJCAA, improving to 1-10.
Tyerell Mann (East Stroudsburg, PA /Notre Dame - East Stroudsburg ) led four Spartans in double figures, scoring 21 points,
Jerrel Burke (Morrisville, PA/Pennsbury ) added 16,
Juan Perez-Jones (Morrisville, PA/Pennsbury ) 11 and
Curtez Goff (Glenside, PA/Upper Dublin ) 10.
Isiah Hinton-Gray (Allentown, PA/William Allen ) grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds, as the Spartans outrebounded the Trailblazers 40 to 25.
Northampton falls to 4-4 overall and 2-2 in Region XIX.
Luzerne improves to 4-5 overall and 4-2 in Region XIX.
The Spartans return to action on Thursday when they host Montgomery County Community College at 8pm
