BETHLEHEM, Pa. -
Jerrel Burke (Morrisville, PA/Pennsbury ) scored a season-high 33 points to help lead Northampton to a 95-78 victory over Montgomery County Community College on Thursday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Center.
Burke finished 12 of 19 from the field, including 4 of 6 from distance, en route to his 33 point outing.
Juan Perez-Jones (Morrisville, PA/Pennsbury ) added 22 and
Isiah Hinton-Gray (Allentown, PA/William Allen ) finished with 16 points and 17 rebounds for the orange and black. Gray's 17 rebounds are the second most in a game in school history, trailing only the 24 boards hauled down by Joe Keglovits on January 18th, 1984 vs. Penn St. Schuykill.
Northampton outrebounded Montgomery 53 to 32, including 21 offensive boards.
The victory moves Northampton to 5-4 overall and 3-2 in Region XIX.
Marvin Crawley scored 20 points to lead Montgomery, which falls to 2-7 overall and 2-4 in Region XIX.
The Spartans travel to Lincroft, NJ on Saturday to face perennial Region XIX power Brookdale Community College at 2pm.
