BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Trailing by 22 points with 3:31 remaining in the 3rd quarter, things were beginning to look bleak for the Northampton women's basketball team ... but, as someone once said ... "It's not over until it's over."  The 3rd seeded Spartans rallied to down 6th seeded Rowan College @ Gloucester County, 57-54, on Saturday afternoon at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center to advance to the Region XIX Final Four next weekend. 

"I can't say enough about these kids," commented Head Coach Tara Belfield, "they never quit ... the crowd got behind us and we took off ... the intensity level was thru the roof and luckily we had enough time and energy to pull it out.  Credit Rowan, they played a tremendous game ... it took everything we had to pull this out."

Julia Craig (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) had 14 points and 10 assists and Zeniyah Sanders (Northampton, PA/Northampton ), who battled foul trouble all day, finished with 10 points and 6 rebounds. Amber Farnholtz (Northampton, PA/Northampton ) was in double figures as well with 10, Kye Adams (East Stroudsburg, PA /East Stroudsburg South ) had a game-high 7 rebounds.

The Spartans, now 20-4 overall, will host 2nd seeded Ocean County College on Saturday February 27th at 2:30pm in the Region XIX Final Four. Ocean advanced to the Final Four with a 60-45 victory over #7 Atlantic Cape earlier in the day. 

RCGC finishes the season at 15-12 overall.
