After their second slow start in as many outings, the Spartans turned up their defensive intensity and took a 35-21 lead into the locker room at halftime. "I was little concerned with how slow we got out of the gate," commented Head Coach Tara Belfield, "but once we got going I thought we played well, getting everyone involved on the offensive end."
