Box Score BLUE BELL, Pa. - Playing their third consecutive game without leading scorer Dom Moser (Easton, PA/Easton ), the Northampton women's basketball team picked up their first victory of the second semester with a 58-41 over Montgomery at the new Bach Convocation Center on Thursday evening. 

Deana McKeller (East Stroudsburg, PA/E. Stroudsburg South) recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Kye Adams (East Stroudsburg, PA/E. Stroudsburg South ) and Kaitlyn Cappetta each added 10 points to lead the Spartan offense.  Katie Alvarez (Allentown, PA /Dieruff) pulled down 10 rebounds and Laura Sweger (Elizabethville, PA /Upper Dauphin ) had 5 blocks as Northampton held the Mustangs to 19 first half points.  "We played three pretty solid quarters," commented Associate Head Coach Amber Walters, "but we struggled somewhat in the 4th with our ball movement ... overall it was a good confidence boost for everyone to get back on the winning side of things."

Northampton improves to 11-4 overall, 9-2 in Region XIX and 5-1 in EPAC play. 

Montgomery falls to 6-10 overall, 2-6 in Region XIX and 2-3 in conference.

The Spartans hit the road again on Tuesday when they travel to Harrisburg to face the Hawks at 6pm.
