ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Northampton men's basketball team never trailed in downing Penn State Lehigh Valley, 83-75, on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference match-up at Cedar Crest College.
Arnel Lewis (Easton, Pa. /Easton) led the Spartans with 23 points and added 6 rebounds and 4 assists, while
Jay Davis (Northwest, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) had 20 points and
Isiah Hinton-Gray (Allentown, Pa./William Allen ) added another double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
The Spartans shot 46% from the field and held the Lions to 37% and led by as many as 17 points with just over 7 minutes remaining in the contest.

Brennan McCarthy, "Penn State is the first team this year to hold their own the boards with us ... they have some big, strong kids who really play hard. This type of game is really good for us ... this will help us as the season goes on."
The win moves Northampton to 7-0 overall as they return to conference action on Tuesday night as they travel to Johnson College to face the Jaguars. Tip time is set for 7:00pm from the Stacknick Center.
