BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton women's basketball team won their 3rd consecutive game, downing the County College of Morris 79-65 on Thursday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Center.
Dom Moser (Easton, Pa./Easton ) scored 34 points, grabbed 17 rebounds and handed out 9 assists as the Spartans evened their record at 5-5.
"It was a good win for us," commented Head Coach
Alyssa Bonenberger, "we shot 45% from the field and outrebounded them by 15 ... I thought our effort was outstanding tonight."
Krista Cappetta (Nazareth, Pa/Nazareth) scored 13 points and had 11 rebounds, while
Laura Sweger (Elizabethville, Pa./Upper Dauphin ) added 12 points, and
Cynthia Perez (Allentown, Pa. /Dieruff) and
Nicole Robinson (Bangor, Pa./Bangor ) each finished with 10.
Sweger recorded 8 blocked shots for the Spartans.
The non-conference win evens Northampton's overall record at 5-5 as they head back into conference play this weekend at Bucks County Community College. Game time is set for noon on Saturday in Newtown, PA.
NJCAA Division II Morris falls to 2-4 with the loss.
