BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Sophomore
Elijah Barrett (Harrisburg, PA/Harrisburg) scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the Northampton Men's Basketball team to a 97-60 victory over Valley Forge Military College on Tuesday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Center.
The Spartans, who led 44-29 at halftime, shot 39 of 72 from the field (54%) and out-rebounded the Trojans 48-25, in improving to 2-0 in Region XIX and 2-0 in the EPAC.
Jay Davis (Northwest, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) scored a team-high 30 points and
Karee Davis (Philadelphia, PA/Mastbaum) added 14 and
D'Andre Davis (York, PA/York Catholic) chipped in with 6 points and 5 rebounds for the Spartans.

"I thought we did a good job spreading the ball around tonight," remarked Head Coach
Brennan McCarthy, "Jay obviously had a very good game offensively, but we got contributions from a number of individuals tonight."
The Spartans, now 2-2 overall, travel to Philadelphia on Saturday to face Delaware County Community College. The game will be played at the Community College of Philadelphia, starting at 1pm.
Valley Forge, which was led by William Taylor with 21 points, fell to 0-2 overall.
