Box Score NANTICOKE, Pa. - Freshman McKenzie Newhart (New Milford, PA/Montrose Area ) recorded career-highs in points (13) and rebounds (12), but it wasn't enough as the Northampton women's basketball team dropped a 75-43 decision to Luzerne County Community College on Tuesday evening. 

Kelsey Miller (Phillipsburg, NJ/Phillipsburg (NJ)) chipped in with 8 points, including two 3-pointers, but the Spartans couldn't overcome the loss of two starters who were out with injuries.

Ashley Robinson (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South) added 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 steals for Northampton, while Jayda Webster (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South ) dished out 4 assists. 

"I thought we showed flashes tonight," commented Head Coach Alyssa Boneberger, "but we are way too inconsistent right now ... both offensively and defensively."

Northampton falls to 0-5 overall with the loss, including 0-2 in Region XIX and 0-2 in the EPAC. 

Luzerne, which was led by Lisa Radziak's 33 points, improves to 3-5 overall, 2-4 in Region XIX and 2-3 in conference play. 

The Spartans are back in action on Thursday when they travel to Brookdale Community College for a 5pm matchup with the Jersey Blues.
