BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Tied 34-34 at the half, Brookdale Community College outscored Northampton 30-7 in the third quarter and cruised to a 75-57 victory on Saturday afternoon at the Arthur L. Scott Center.
"We got off to great start (22-10 lead after first quarter)," commented Head Coach
Alyssa Bonenberger, " we knew they would make a run, so I wasn't shocked we were tied at halftime, but our 3rd quarter effort and execution left a lot to be desired."
Dom Moser (Easton, Pa./Easton ) led the Spartans with 23 points, while
Jada Holland (Laurel, MD/Springbrook (MD)) finished with 18 and 11 rebounds.
Laura Sweger (Elizabethville, Pa./Upper Dauphin ) added 8 points and 10 rebounds for Northampton.
The loss drops Northampton to 15-8 overall and 11-4 in Region XIX.
Brookdale improves to 19-10 overall and 15-3 in Region XIX.
The Spartans wrap up the regular season on Tuesday night when they host Middlesex County College (18-9) at 5pm.
