Box Score HARRISBURG, Pa. - The Northampton men's basketball team won their 10th consecutive game, downing Harrisburg Area Community College, 81-50, on Saturday afternoon at the Hawks Nest.
Jay Davis (Northwest, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) scored 23 points to lead the Spartans, who held Harrisburg to their second lowest point total of the season.
"Our defense really came to play today," commented Head Coach
Brennan McCarthy, "I thought we did a good job contesting shots and limiting them to only one opportunity per possession."
Elijah Barrett (Harrisburg, PA/Harrisburg) recorded a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds, while
Tony James (Harrisburg, PA/Harrisburg) finished with 9 points and 11 rebounds.
Arnel Lewis (Easton, PA/Easton) dished out a team-high 7 assists and
Tyrese Stewart (Allentown, PA/William Allen) added 7 boards.
The win moves Northampton to 14-5 overall, 13-3 in Region XIX and 11-2 in the EPAC.
Harrisburg, which was led by Onterio Edmunds' 16 points, falls to 12-9 overall, 10-6 overall and 9-4 in conference play.
The Spartans return to the friendly confines of the Spartan Center on Tuesday when they host Bergen Community College (6-14) at 7pm.
