#7 Spartans Remain Undefeated with 106-85 Victory Over Harrisburg

Box Score BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The 7th ranked Northampton men's basketball team remained perfect on the season, downing Harrisburg Area Community College, 106-85, on Tuesday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Center.

Tony James (Harrisburg, PA/Harrisburg ) scored 30 points to pace the Spartan attack, which saw Northampton eclipse the century mark for the third time this season.

"Offensively I thought we did a pretty good job tonight," quipped Head Coach Brennan McCarthy, "defensively, that was another story.  Credit Harrisburg, they really shot it well tonight, but we need to do a better job closing out on shooters and contesting shots."  The Hawks made 17 3-pointers on the night.

Reuben Soto (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) added 14 points, Marquise McClean (York, PA/William Penn ) had 10 and Will Slippe (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) had a season-high 8 to pace the Spartans, who improve to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in Region XIX.

The loss drops Harrisburg to 1-4 overall.

The Spartans are back in action on Thursday when they travel to southern New Jersey to face RCSJ-Gloucester in a Region XIX cross-over match-up at 7pm.
