BLUE BELL, Pa. - The Northampton women's basketball team fell to the Montgomery Mustangs, 62-46, Saturday afternoon.

Montana Cassaro (Bangor, PA/Bangor) finished with a double-double, 11 points and 11 rebounds. Ashley Robinson (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South) also contributed 11 points, while Jade Biviano (Catasauqua, PA/Catasauqua ) and Kelsey Miller (Phillipsburg, NJ/Phillipsburg (NJ)) each added 10 points.

"We came out flat in the first quarter and that really hurt us," said head coach Alyssa Bonenberger, "we gave up too many easy baskets. We need to learn from this loss and keep working hard at practice."

Montgomery sweeps the season series from Northampton, after claiming the first match-up back in December, 55-59. 

Northampton falls to 6-12 overall, 5-8 in Region XIX, 4-6 in EPAC. 

Montgomery improves to 9-12 overall, 8-7 in Region XIX, 6-3 in EPAC.

The Spartans will play again on Tuesday February 12th, when they travel to Newton, Pa to take on the Centurions of Bucks County College.
