Box Score HARRISBURG, Pa. - Back on the court for the first time since December 14th, the Northampton women's basketball team picked up their 5th win of the season with a convincing 82-11 victory over Harrisburg Area Community College on Tuesday evening.
Montana Cassaro (Bangor, PA /Bangor) had a big night for the Spartans, with 11 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals, while
Briana Petersen (East Stroudsburg, PA /East Stroudsburg North ) chipped in with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 3 steals.
All 7 Spartans in uniform scored at least 6 points as Northampton sprinted out to a commanding 44-7 halftime lead and never looked back.
Briona McClain (Stroudsburg, PA /Pocono Mt. West ) had a game-high 20 points, while
Ashley Robinson (East Stroudsburg, PA /East Stroudsburg South) with 11,
Maria Pezzino (Nazareth, PA/Bethlehem Catholic ) with 10 and
Kelsey Miller (Phillipsburg, NJ/Phillipsburg (NJ)) with 10, each were in double figures.
Tyler Dixon (Saylorsburg, PA /Pleasant Valley ) finished with 6.
The win moves Northampton to 5-7 overall and 14-1 all-time vs. the Hawks.
Harrisburg falls to 0-9 with the loss.
The Spartans are back on the road on Thursday as they travel to Camden County College to face the Cougars (3-10). Tip-off is scheduled for 5pm.
