Box Score BLACKWOOD, NJ - The 7th ranked Northampton men's basketball team suffered just their 2nd loss of the season on Thursday evening, falling to Camden County College, 89-83, at the Cougar Center.
The Cougars, who received votes in the latest NJCAA national poll, converted 22 of 25 free throws and knocked 9 three-pointers in the upset victory.

Brennan McCarthy, "they are are very talented and very well-coached ... I don't think we were as focused on the defensive end as we have been and that will come back to hurt you against a team like Camden."
The Spartans, who led at halftime 43-39, found themselves trailing by 10 with 7 minutes remaining, cut the margin to 3, 83-86, with 50 seconds remaining, but missed the front end of a 1 and 1, and could not get any closer.
Tony James (Harrisburg, PA/Harrisburg ) led the Spartans with 20 points,
Michael Jackson (West Lawn, PA/Wilson West Lawn) had 13 and
Marquise McClean (York, PA/William Penn ) chipped in with 12, all in the second half.
James added 10 rebounds and McClean hauled down 8, while Jackson and
Ben Sandberg (Willow Street, PA/Lampeter-Strasburg) each dished out 4 assists.
The 89 points allowed are the most given up in a game this season by the Spartans.
Northampton falls to 15-2 overall and 11-2 in Region XIX with the loss.
Camden improves to 13-3 overall and 13-3 in Region XIX.
Northampton returns to the hardwood on Saturday when they will face Delaware County Community College. The game will be played at Williamson Trade with tip-off set for 3pm.
