Box Score NEWTON, NJ - Briona McClain (Stroudsburg, PA /Pocono Mt. West ) scored 19 points and hauled down 23 rebounds. but it wasn't enough as the Northampton women's basketball team fell to Sussex County Community College, 64-47, on Thursday evening at the Kuntz Center.

"We were not aggressive enough tonight on either end," lamented Head Coach Alyssa Bonenberger, "we only got to the line 10 times and defensively we never could get back to back stops."

Kelsey Miller (Phillipsburg, NJ/Phillipsburg (NJ)) had 10 points and 3 assists and Briana Petersen (East Stroudsburg, PA /East Stroudsburg North ) added 10 rebounds and 4 blocks for the Spartans. 

The loss knocks Northampton out of playoff contention, putting them at 9-11 overall and 2-7 in Region XIX. 

Sussex improves to 13-11 overall and 8-10 in Region XIX. 

The Spartans finish the regular season on Saturday when they travel to Philadelphia to face the Lions at 12pm.
