BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team dropped a Region 19 match-up to EPAC foe Montgomery County Community College, 3-1, falling 12-25, 25-22, 15-25, 19-25, on Monday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.
Jordan Appleton (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond) led the Spartans with 12 kills, 25 digs and 2 blocks, while
Meghan Speshok (Easton, PA/Easton) added 23 digs, 2 service aces and 1 assist.
"We continue to make strides in the right direction," stated Head Coach
Rachael Caywood, "the improvement is not showing in the win column yet, but we are getting better as a team and continue to work hard."
Theresa Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond) recorded 22 assists,
Genesis Martinez (Reading, PA/Muhlenberg) had 6 kills and 11 digs and
Jennique Herrera (Plainfield Township, PA/Pen Argyl) added 6 kills and 6 digs.
The loss drops the Spartans to 1-10 overall and 1-6 in Region 19.
Montgomery improves to 9-4 overall with the victory.
The Spartans end the regular season on Wednesday when they travel to the Electric City to face Lackawanna College in a doubleheader, with the the first match scheduled for 6pm.
