SEWELL, NJ - The Northampton Women's Tennis team took the court for the first time since the NJCAA National Championship in November 2019, when they traveled to RCSJ-Gloucester to face the Roadrunners on Saturday afternoon. Due to COVID-19, the NJCAA cancelled the Fall 2020 Tennis season, but made allowances for teams that wanted to participate in the Spring to have an exhibition season. There will be no Regional playoffs or national competition for Division III this Spring.
"I was really impressed with the team today," remarked Head Coach
Megan Sell, "we have not really had a chance to fully practice, but I'm just so happy for them we got the opportunity to compete and they really stepped up today." The Spartans topped the Roadrunners, 6-3, in the Region 19 exhibition match, winning all 6 matches that were contested on the court.
