Women's Tennis was started in 2013 under Head Coach Megan Sell, who quickly established the Northampton women's tennis teams as one of the top programs in Region 19 and the NJCAA.  During her eight seasons leading the program, Sell led Northampton to a 41-21 record, five NJCAA national tournament appearances, a Region 19 Championship in 2019 and a NJCAA National Runner-up finish in 2019.

Tammy Smith assumed the reigns of the program in 2021 and promptly guided the Spartans to their 2nd Region 19 Championship and a 4th place finish at the NJCAA National Championship.  Elizabeth Hozza earned Region 19 Player of the Year honors for winning the #1 singles championship and Smith was tabbed Region 19 Coach of the Year.  Sophomore Morgan Putvinski was named a 2nd Team All-American, after finishing as the national runner-up at #4 singles.  

The 2019 season was historic for the Northampton women's tennis team as they captured their first-ever Region XIX championship, advanced to their 5th NJCAA national tournament and placed 2nd overall in the nation. Seven Spartans earned All-American honors and finished as national runners-up in their respective positions; Viktoria Swanson #2 singles, Alyssa Kapcsos #4 singles, Morgan Putvinksi #6 singles, Kapcsos and Sydney Schmall at #2 doubles and Madison Haas and Hanna Nicholls at #3 doubles.  Swanson also took home the coveted NJCAA Sportsmanship Award, while Head Coach Megan Sell was named the Region XIX Coach of the Year. Freshman Regan Gunn was named EPAC Player of the Year. 

2018 proved to be groundbreaking for the Spartan Tennis program as sophomore Elise Van Ormer claimed the Region XIX #1 singles title and freshman Rebecca Packo won the #2 singles title.  The team finished as Region XIX runners-up and advanced to their 4th NJCAA National Tournament in six seasons, where they finished a program-best, 5th in the country. 

The 2017 season squad sported five freshman and just one sophomore as the Spartans finished 4th at the Region XIX Tournament.  Alyssa Rosario was the Region XIX runner-up at #6 singles.  Elise Van Ormer was named EPAC Women's Tennis Player of the Year in vote conducted by the league coaches. 

The 2016 squad, led by Region XIX #1 singles champion Erin Volutza, finished 3rd in the Region and 8th at nationals in Peachtree City, Georgia. Volutza and Mackenzie Caffrey represented the Spartans at the national tournament. 

Sell's 2015 squad finished 7-2 overall, finishing 3rd in the team standings at the Region XIX Tournament.  Valeria Ceron and Emily Moss won the Region Championship at #1 Doubles, advancing to the NJCAA National Tournament in Peachtree City, GA where they lead the Spartans to an 8th place finish. 

2014 was a breakthrough season for Sell and the Women's Tennis programs, as they finished 7-3 in the regular season, including a runner-up finish in the Region XIX Tournament, and earned an automatic bid the the NJCAA national tournament. The team competed at the Billie Jean King Tennis Center in Flushing Meadow, NY, finishing the season ranked 10th in the country.
