BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team dropped their home opener on Monday evening, falling to Harcum College, falling 3-0 (17-25, 21-25, 8-25).
Jordan Appleton (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond) had 9 kills and 7 digs,
Jennique Herrera (Plainfield Township, PA/Pen Argyl) added 3 kills, 9 digs and 1 ace and
Theresa Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond) recorded 26 digs.
"I saw a lot of improvement tonight since our match vs. Del Tech," commented Head Coach
Rachael Caywood, "we are definitely moving in the right direction, but we need to limit our unforced errors and improve our on-court communication."
Shamiya Cabrera (Tobyhanna, PA/Pocono Mt. West) had a team-high 19 assists and added 2 aces and 1 dig.
The Spartans, who fall to 0-3 with the loss, are back in action on Thursday when they host Raritan Valley Community College at 7pm.
Harcum improves to 2-1 with with the victory.
