BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team fell to 10th ranked Raritan Valley Community College, 3-0 (11-25, 12-25, 19-25), on Thursday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.
Jordan Appleton (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond) led the Spartans with 8 kills, 12 digs, 2 blocks and 1 ace, while
Jennique Herrera (Plainfield Township, PA/Pen Argyl) added 10 digs,
Theresa Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond) recorded 9 assists and 5 digs and
Meghan Speshok (Easton, PA/Easton) registered a team-high 15 digs.
"Raritan is a very good program," remarked Head Coach Caywood, "you can't make the type of mistakes we made tonight and expect to win against a quality opponent."
The loss drops Northampton to 0-4 overall and 0-1 in the Region.
Raritan Valley, ranked 10th in the latest NJCAA national poll, improves to 8-4 overall and 6-0 in Region 19.
The Spartans return to the court on Monday when they host Harrisburg Area Community College at 7pm.
