BLACKWOOD, NJ - The Northampton women's tennis team remained undefeated with a 4-3 victory over Camden County College on Wednesday afternoon.  

After splitting doubles, the Spartans were able to win 3 of 5 singles matches to earn the hard-fought victory. 

Doubles
#1     Hozza / Brewer (N) lost to Baliban/Makowski (C) 4-8
#2    Nicholls / Putvinski (N) defeated Mariners/Lyons (C) 8-6

Singles 
#1    Elizabeth Hozza (Northampton, PA/Northampton ) (N) defeated Baliban (C) 6-2, 6-1
#2    Emilee Brewer (Bangor, PA/Bangor) (N) lost to Makowski (C) 1-6, 6-2, 3-6
#3    Hanna Nicholls (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) (N) defeated Marinero (C) 6-2, 6-4
#4    Morgan Putvinski (Mt. Bethel, PA/Bangor) (N) defeated Lyons (C) 6-2, 6-4
#5    Thinn Hlaing (Easton, PA/Easton) (N) lost to Ramos (C) 0-6, 2-6

"I can't say enough about the women on this team," commented Head Coach Tammy Smith, "they are such competitors, they really dug deep to earn this victory tonight over a talented Camden team."

The win moves Northampton to 2-0 overall, while Camden falls to 3-2. 

The Spartans return to action on Monday September 27th when they travel to RCSJ-Gloucester to face the Roadrunners at 3:30pm.
