Women's Tennis Escapes RCSJ-Gloucester to Remain Undefeated

SEWELL, NJ - Despite missing three players, the Northampton Women's Tennis team was able to down RCSJ-Gloucester, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon at the Roadrunner Tennis Complex, to remain undefeated on the season.

Elizabeth Hozza (Northampton, PA/Northampton) / Emilee Brewer (Bangor, PA/Bangor) (N) defeated Irene Tantaros/Jahaira Flores (G); 8-1
2nd doubles
Sydney Ivey/Alex Everson (G) defeated MaryElizabeth Soffera (Easton, PA/Wilson) / Gianna Coyne (Neshaminy, PA/Neshaminy) (N); 8-5
SINGLES 1st singles
Elizabeth Hozza (Northampton, PA/Northampton) (N) defeated Irene Tantaros G); 6-1,6-2
2nd singles
Emilee Brewer (Bangor, PA/Bangor) (N )defeated Sydney Ivey (G); 6-2,6-1
3rd singles
Jahaira Flores (G) defeated MaryElizabeth Soffera (Easton, PA/Wilson) (N); 6-3,6-2
4th singles
Alex Everson (G) defeated Gianna Coyne (Neshaminy, PA/Neshaminy) (N); 6-2,6-4
5th singles
Cora MacArthur (Easton, PA/Wilson) (N) defeated Yeseniah Soto (G); 6-0,6-0

The win moves Northampton to 5-0 overall, while RCSJ-Gloucester falls to 1-5. 

The Spartans are back in action Sunday when they take their undermanned roster to Camden County College to face the Cougars.
