Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Spartans Dominate Camden in Second Half for 86-54 Victory

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The 10th ranked Northampton men's basketball team used a dominating second half to down Camden County College, 86-54, on Tuesday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Center.

Leading 36-30 at the intermission, the Spartans outscored Camden 50 to 24 over the final 20 minutes to secure the 32 point victory.

"I thought the guys really stepped up the defensive pressure in the second half," commented Head Coach Brennan McCarthy, "we started to dominate the backboards (52-36) and forced some turnovers, which really got our offense moving."

Mike Marable (Harrisburg, PA/Susquehanna) led Northampton with 21 points, while CJ Miles (Bangor, PA/Bangor) and Christion Johnson (Philadelphia, PA/Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast) added 11 each.  All 20 Spartans in uniform saw playing time, with 14 scoring at least 1 point.

The win moves Northampton to 12-2 overall and 8-1 in Region 19 as they head to semester break.

Camden falls to 5-9 overall and 3-8 in Region 19.

The Spartans are now off until January 12th when they travel to Bergen Community College in Paramus, NJ.
