Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MYRTLE BEACH, SC - The Northampton Softball team opened the 2022 campaign with a pair of games on Sunday in Myrtle Beach, facing NJCAA Division I Olney College in Game One and Division II member Bryant & Stratton (OH) in Game Two. 

Game One - vs. OLNEY COLLEGE (Lost 1-9)
Regina Bangcoro (Easton, PA /Easton) was 2 for 2 with a run scored, Siera Klingle (East Bangor, PA/Bangor) was 1 for 2 and Makaylah Sutton (Avenel, NJ/Colonia) was 1 for 2 to lead the Spartan offense in a 9-1 loss in their season opener. 

Bangcoro took the loss on the mound, allowing 9 runs on 10 hits, striking out 7 and walking 4. 

Game Two - vs. Bryant & Stratton (Lost 4-14)
The Spartans dropped game two, 14-4, to Bryant & Stratton (OH), with Emma Stoltzfus (Morgantown, PA/Garden Spot) and Dana Fisher (Wind Gap, PA/Pen Argyl) each finishing 1 for 3 at the plate. 

Bridget Pavelko (Bethlehem, PA /Notre Dame - Green Pond ) took the loss on the mound, going 6.2 innings, allowing 14 runs on 16 hits, walking 7 and striking out 2. 

The Spartans are back in action on Monday when they will face Olney College in the morning and Licoln College JV in the afternoon.
