SCRANTON, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team won its 4th consecutive match on Saturday, downing NJCAA Division II Lackawanna College 25-8, 25-14, 25-14 at the Falcon's Nest. The sweep was Northampton's 4th straight, after falling 3-1 to Harrisburg to open the season. .
Jordan Appleton (Langhorne, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) recorded 10 kills and 11 digs,
Ayana Bomani (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) had 6 kills, 18 digs and 2 solo blocks and
Meghan Speshok (Easton, PA/Easton) added 20 assists and 8 digs for the Spartans.
"We are really starting to come together as a unit," remarked Head Coach
Rachael Caywood, "while we still have areas to work on, I'm really excited about how this team continues to improve each day."
With 4 wins in their first 5 games of the 2022 season, the Spartans have already eclipsed their win total from 2021.
Northampton, now 4-1 overall, will host Penn St.-Lehigh Valley on Tuesday at 7pm.
