BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team won their 6th consecutive match on Thursday evening, downing NJCAA Division II Delaware Tech, 25-20, 25-20, 25-23.
Jordan Appleton (Langhorne, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) had 11 kills and 11 digs,
Ayana Bomani (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) recorded 9 kills and 20 digs,
Genesis Martinez (Reading, PA/Muhlenberg) notched 12 digs,
Theresa Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) added 17 digs and
Meghan Speshok (Easton, PA/Easton) filled the stat sheet with 25 assists, 1 kills, 9 aces and 7 digs.
"Tough match tonight," remarked Head Coach
Rachael Caywood, "Del Tech gave us all we could handle, but I'm proud of how the team responded. That win will help us down the road when we are in some tight matches."
The win moves Northampton to 6-1 overall, while Del Tech falls to 2-5.
The Spartans are home again on Monday night when they host Middlesex College at 7pm.
