BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team won its 7th straight match, sweeping Middlesex College; 25-12, 25-13, 25-5, on Monday night at the Arthur L. Scott Center.
Alexandra Bosco (Hellertown, PA/Saucon Valley) led the Spartans with 17 assists, 6 aces, 4 digs, 1 block and 2 kills, while
Jordan Appleton (Langhorne, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) added 6 kills, 7 digs and 4 aces.
"I'm really happy with how the team is playing right now," remarked Head Coach
Rachael Caywood, "they have come a long way in a short time and I think our best volleyball is still ahead of us."
Ayana Bomani (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) recorded 5 kills, 5 digs and 3 blocks,
Joy Wetzel (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic )h had 4 kills and
Theresa Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) notched 15 digs, 2 kills and 2 aces.
The Spartans, now 7-1 overall and 3-1 in Region 19, travel to Lehigh Carbon Community College on Thursday evening for a 7pm match vs. the Cougars at Berrier Hall.
Middlesex falls to 2-6 with the loss.
