Box Score SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa. - Freshman Zoe Cruz (Swiftwater, PA/Pocono Mt. East) scored 19 points to help lead the Northampton women's basketball team to a 76-47 victory over Lehigh Carbon Community College on Thursday evening at the Cougar Den on the LCCC campus. 

Cruz hit 3 3-pointers and dished out 4 assists for the Spartans, who overcame a sluggish first half, to improve to 19-1 all-time vs. Lehigh Carbon. 

The Spartans, who led 34-24 at the break, outscored Lehigh Carbon 42-23 in the second half. 

"We really struggled early, but I'm proud of how we bounced back," commented Head Coach Terrence Bomar, "moving forward, we have to work on staying mentally focused for all 4 quarters."

Alayna Day (Reading, PA/Muhlenburg) scored 14 points and Anajah Hines (Wendell, NC/Corinth Holders) added a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds. 

The win, Northampton's 3rd straight, improves their record to 9-5 overall. 

Lehigh Carbon falls to 0-5 with the loss. 

The Spartans are back in action on Saturday when they host Nassau Community College (NY) from Region 15 at 2pm.
