Nic McCoy (Bangor, PA/Bangor) put the Spartans up 2-0 with a goal off a direct kick at the 12 minute mark.

The Phantoms tallied their only goal of the day at the 27 minute mark, beating goalkeeper Colston Jasionowski (Easton, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) with a low drive to the corner.

Brenden Nye (Catasauqua, PA/Catasauqua) put the Northampton lead back to 2 with a goal at the 38 minute mark, assisted by Hayden Burns (Bangor, PA/Bangor).

30 seconds later Nic McCoy (Bangor, PA/Bangor) notched his second goal of the game off an assist from Christian Martinez (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central (NJ)) to give the Spartans a 5-1 halftime advantage.
