Box Score PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Northampton women's basketball team clinched their 2nd consecutive EPAC championship with a 65-57 victory over the Community College of Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon at CCP Arena.

Zoe Cruz (Swiftwater, PA/Pocono Mt. East) scored 16 points and Kania Day (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South) added 15 for the Spartans , who took control in the second quarter, outscoring the Lions 23-10, to take a 32-21 lead at intermission. 

"This was a really solid road win for us, especially with the conference title hanging in the balance," commented Head Coach Terrence Bomar, "I'm really proud of the girls, we were able to pick up 3 big road victories this week as we head into our playoff push."

The moves Northampton to 15-6 overall, 7-2 in Region 19 and  4-0 in the EPAC,

Philadelphia falls to 6-9 overall, 4-4 in Region 19 and 1-2 in conference play. 

The Spartans return to action on February 14th when they host USCAA member Central Penn College at 5pm. 

The EPAC championship is Northampton's 8th overall in women's basketball.
