BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team outlasted Del Tech on Saturday afternoon at the Arthur L. Scott Center, taking the 5-set thriller 25-16, 19-25, 25-16, 21-25, 15-6.
"We never got on track today," commented Head Coach
Rachael Caywood, "I'm proud of how we battled and found a way to win, but we definitely hurt ourselves at times today throughout the match."
Ayana Bomani (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) recorded 15 kills, 25 digs and 5 blocks and
Kailen Felty (Pine Grove, PA/Pine Grove) added 15 kills and 21 digs for the Spartans.Â
Leana Angelone (Coopersburg, PA/Faith Christian Academy)Â registered 44 assists, 6 service aces and 17 digs and
Mackenzie Davis (Warsaw, VA/Rappahannock (VA)) was credited with 23 digs.Â
The win moves Northampton to 5-0 overall, while NJCAA Division II Del Tech falls to 5-5.Â
The Spartans are back in the Spartan Center on Tuesday when they host EPAC rival Lehigh Carbon Community College at 6pm.Â
