PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team picked up two crucial victories on Saturday at the CCP Tri-Match, downing the host Lions 3-0 and then defeating Montgomery County Community College, 3-2.
Match One vs. Philadelphia - Won 3-0 (25-13, 25-8, 25-13)
The Spartans earned a 3-0 sweep over the host Lions in match one, as
Alyssa Eilenberger (Saylorsburg, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond) recorded 10 kills,
Mitzy Orlic (Bethlehem, PA/Northampton) had 10 assists and
Leana Angelone (Coopersburg, PA/Faith Christian Academy) added 18 assists, 7 kills and 5 digs.
Mackenzie Davis (Warsaw, VA/Rappahannock (VA)) finished with 11 digs for Northampton.
Match Two vs. Montgomery County - Won 3-2 (28-26, 25-20, 24-26, 23-25, 15-8)
In their second match of the day, the Spartans battled the Mustangs of Montgomery County in a 5-set thriller, prevailing 3 sets to 2, with a 15-8 victory in the 5th set.

Rachael Aquila, "they took it to us pretty good back in September, so this win feels good, I'm happy for the girls."
Lexi Womack (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) led the Spartans with 19 kills and 28 digs, while
Kailen Felty (Pine Grove, PA/Pine Grove) recorded 14 kills, 24 digs, 11 blocks and 9 service aces.
Leana Angelone (Coopersburg, PA/Faith Christian Academy) was credited with 46 assists and
Mackenzie Davis (Warsaw, VA/Rappahannock (VA)) added 26 digs and 3 aces.
Montgomery falls to 9-7 overall with the loss.
The Spartans return home with an overall record of 13-6, 5-3 in Region 19 and 5-4 in the EPAC.
Northampton travels to Scranton, PA on October 16th to face NJCAA Division II Lackawanna College at 6pm.
