PATERSON, NJ - The Northampton men's volleyball team picked up their 4th sweep of the season, downing Passaic County Community College, 25-13, 25-18, 25-20, on Wednesday evening at the Panther Athletic Center.
Ramon Romero (San Pedro Sula, Hondurus/Liceo Billingue (HN)) had a big night for the Spartans, notching 9 kills, 11 digs, 2 service aces and a block, while
Zach Franges (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) recorded 34 assists.
"First road match of the season, so a little different in our preparation and pregame routine," remarked Head Coach
Rachael Aquila, "but overall a good outing and nice to pick up another important Region victory."
John Nice (Feasterville, PA/Neshaminy) led the Spartans with 14 kills, while
Alex Schoenen (Northampton, PA/Northampton) had 9 kills, 10 digs and a block.
The Spartans improve to 4-0 overall and 4-0 in Region 19.
Passaic falls to 1-11 overall and 0-6 in Region play.
Northampton continues their road trip on Friday night with a match at Middlesex College (5-2), slated for 6pm.
