BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton men's volleyball team got back on the winning track on Monday night, downing Middlesex College, 25-9, 25-19, 25-22, at the Arthur L. Scott Center. 

Alex Schoenen (Northampton, PA/Northampton) recorded 10 kills, 11 digs, 3 solo blocks and 7 block assists, while Ramon Romero (San Pedro Sula, Hondurus/Liceo Billingue (HN)) added 11 digs, 5 kills and and 2 service aces. 

The Spartans bounced back after dropping their first match of the season on Saturday at Ocean County College.

"I was happy with our response tonight," remarked Head Coach Rachael Aquila, "I thought we got a little sloppy in the 2nd and 3rd sets, but overall a good bounce back tonight, especially how we jumped out in the 1srt set."

Zach Franges (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) was credited with 25 assists and and registered 3 service aces. 

The Spartans improve to 7-1 overall and 7-1 in Region 19.

Middlesex falls to to 8-6 overall and 4-5 in the Region.

Northampton is back at home on Wednesday when they host Atlantic Cape Community College at 6pm.
