BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton men's volleyball team avenged their only loss of the season, sweeping Ocean County College, 25-20, 25-21, 25-20 on Wednesday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Center. 

Ramon Romero (San Pedro Sula, Hondurus/Liceo Billingue (HN)) recorded 10 kills, 9 digs and 3 block assists and John Nice (Feasterville, PA/Neshaminy) added 10 kills, 13 digs, 2 solo blocks and 2 block assists as the Spartans handed Ocean their 2nd Region 19 loss of the season.

"This was a big win for us tonight," commented Head Coach Rachael Aquila, "now we control our own destiny in terms of hosting for the playoffs.  We still have work to do, but it is in our hands."

Alex Schoenen (Northampton, PA/Northampton) had 9 kills, 11 digs, 2 solo blocks and 6 block assists and Zach Franges (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) registered 31 assists for the Spartans. 

Northampton improves to 10-1 overall and 10-1 in Region 19.

Ocean falls to 11-4 overall and 11-2 in the Region.

The Spartans travel to Bryn Mawr, PA on Saturday to face Harcum College and Atlantic Cape Community College in a tri-match.
