BRYN MAWR, Pa. - The Northampton men's volleyball team swept the Harcum tri-match on Saturday, downing the host Bears 3-0 and Atlantic Cape Community College, 3-1 at OMG Arena.
Harcum - Won 25-21, 25-15, 25-13
Alex Schoenen (Northampton, PA/Northampton) recorded 9 kills, 4 digs and 5 block assists, while
Mamadou Dieng (Conackry, Guinea/Lycee Alberts Camus) had 5 kills and 4 solo blocks.
Matteo Mowrey (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) added 8 digs and 3 service aces and
Zach Franges (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) notched 23 assists.Â
Harcum falls 2-10 overall and 0-8 in Region 19.Â
Atlantic Cape - Won 25-17, 21-25, 25-13, 25-16
In match two, the Spartans were led by
Ramon Romero (San Pedro Sula, Hondurus/Liceo Billingue (HN)) who tallied 14 kills, 5 aces and 9 digs and
John Nice (Feasterville, PA/Neshaminy) who recorded 12 kills and 8 digs.Â
Andrew Montes De Oca (Kearny, NJ/Kearny (NJ)) contributed 6 kills, 3 digs, 1 solo block and 4 block assists and
Zach Franges (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) was credited with 40 assists.Â
The two victories moves Northampton to 12-1 overall and 12-1 in Region 19.Â
Atlantic Cape falls to 13-5 overall and 11-3 in the Region.
The Spartans wrap up the regular season on Monday night when they host Union County College at 6pm.Â
