HARRISBURG, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team picked up their 5th straight victory on Monday evening, downing Harrisburg Area Community College, 3-2, at the JW Evans PE Center.
The Spartans broke their recent history of slow starts by taking a 2-0 lead, with a 28-26 victory in set 1 and a 25-19 win in set 2. The Hawks then responded with two straight set wins, 25-21 in set 3 and then a dominating 25-13 performance in the 4th set to even the match at 2-2. The Spartans were able to rebound and take the 5th set, 15-12, to win the match.

Alyssa Eilenberger (Saylorsburg, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond) finished with 17 kills and 12 digs,
Kailen Felty (Pine Grove, PA/Pine Grove) had 14 kills, 20 digs and 10 blocks and
Mackenzie Davis (Warsaw, VA/Rappahannock (VA)) recorded 27 digs and 3 service aces.
Leana Angelone (Coopersburg, PA/Faith Christian Academy) notched 54 assists, 11 digs and 3 blocks for the Spartans.
The win moves Northampton to 10-4 overall, 4-2 in Region 19 and 3-3 in the EPAC.
Harrisburg falls to 8-7 overall, 3-3 in the Region and 3-4 in conference play.
The Spartans return to the Arthur L. Scott Center this weekend when they host NJCAA Division II foes Delaware Tech and Lackawanna College in their
Dig Pink tri-match.
